This is shareware, and for linux, (plus a version for windows).
They are supposed to "open source" it soon, though I don't think it will
be GPL.
It looks much like VB.
Plus,
Star Office 5.1/5.2 has a VB scripting engine in it that can do quite a
lot (but you have a lot of weight to carry around to handle it), and you
have to get one of the books on the market (written by the authors of Star
Office) in order to discover its abilities.
