You will probably want to check your IRQ's for hardware conflicts. Soundcards
like IRQ 5 and/or 7, the same for printer LPT ports.
Check your interrupts:  cat/proc/interrupts and see which IRQ your sound card is
using. You may have to go into your BIOS and set the ptinter port, LPT, to to
IRQ  which is not being used by the soundcard.
