Ah...you mean you can make icons on the desktop (grin)? I couldn't
find anything that would allow me to do that. I guess I'm going to
have to set aside some time and hunt down the doc files.

Unfortunately, you are right. I feel that both KDE and Gnome are
growing beyond any reason, mostly in the same feature/flexibility
bloat stuff that we've seen from spreadsheets, word processors, and
any other software that's competing for customers.
