I have the same problem. My usb zip drive works on my 7.1 machine but
not on my 7.2 machine. The 7.2 machine knows there is a zip drive out
there, kde puts a zip icon on the desktop, but I get an I/O error when
I try to access it. I haven't been able to figure it out. Another
difference between the machines, is the 7.2 has an IDE CD writer which
appears like a scsi device also. I don't know if that has anything to
do with the usb zip problem.
