No crashes even when I get the multipliable APIC errors. As I mention this
occurs most often when running the program xmms. my system stability and speed
doesn't appear to degrade.

I should also mention that I receive one other error in my
/var/log/kernel/errors file:

"kernel: Unknown bridge resource 0: assuming transparent"
Bridge resource 0 I believe is :

Bus 0, device 0, function 0
Host bridge Intel Corp 440BX/ZX Host bridge (rev 3)

But as before this doesn't appear to effect my system.

I have reduced my cpu speed to 366 MHz and have noticed that I no longer have
the error messages in my kernel error file. I suppose it is possible that the
o/c to a 100 MHz bus setting the Celerons to run a 550 MHz has caused the cpus
to degrade. Maybe it's time I went an purchased that Abit VP6 with P3's.
