And the computer doesn't hang there. I get this message just behind the
login prompt and it only looks like the computer hangs. You just type in
your login id just like this messages were not there at all. You hit
enter and get a passw prompt. You don't have to punch in ^C because after
the message is printed on stdout the causing program is finished anyway.
Also, if you look into /var/log/messages you'll see the same lines very
early during the bootup.
I have this on all 8.0 installations (several different pcs and a
Thinkpad).
