Hi all:
I recently installed Mandrake 7.2, asking for development
and complete install. To my surprise, emacs is not on this
system! In fact during the install, I was only asked for
CDs 1 and 3, and NOT CD 2 (where xemacs is), if my memory
is not failing me. Which brings me to the following
questions:
Is there an installation log kept somewhere on the system?
What is the rpm command to install ALL the packages on a
given CD? [What if the RPMS directory contains only
links, i.e. files ending in .rpm@?]
xv is not installed and I do not see any trace of it on any
of the 4 CDs I have. Maybe it is hidden inside a larger package.
Is there a file of some sort that would be essentially
a list of applications, programs etc... which would make
finding their location easy [the equivalent of the
appendix one finds with some documentation]?
