Do you really need to install the source and rebuild it? For the binary,
just install all the need packages IN ONE SHOT.
Example for cups:
rpm -Uvh cups-xxx cups-common-xxx libcups1-xxx cups-drivers-yyy
ghostcript-zzz and so on as loong as you have dependency requirements. I
have no idea how far it goes
