Did you try to restrict the available interrupts in /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia?
Use something like:
PCIC_OPTS="irq_list=5,9,10"
You can have a look at /proc/interrupts to see if a slot is available.
There is a PCMCIA_howto where you can find a lot of ideas.
