hi,
im using mk8.0 for a few months with the stock kernel and set up an
firewall for our webserver.
with iptables it runs perfectly, except of not filtering some
nfs-connections, but its not a real prob. i think your iptables-script is
not a actual one, or it based on ipchaines or something like this. if it
is a ipchains one you have to compile ipchains-compatibility in your
kernel.
on the other hand its never a bad choice to recompile a stock-kernel,
cause its to large and slow.
