I've tried to find an answer to this on the newbie sites, but to no avail. Running Mandrake 8, and logged in as root, using KDE, my floppy disk icon has a little lock on it, and when I try to access the floppy, it tells me I don't have permission. I though root had permission to do everything. Anyway, if someone could tell me how to unlock my floppy, that would be great. Any explanation of what is actually going on here would be most appreciated as well. Doug Gough
