The same thing has happened again, this time caused by the printer
running out of toner partway through a big job.

So I have done an lprm. I have used the web interface and told the
printer to STOP. I have cycled power on the printer. I have told the
admin interface to REJECT all jobs.

And still I am getting nearly-blank pieces of paper as soon as I turn
the printer back on.

I'll ask the same question I asked before: How do I REALLY empty the
print queue???

I know it can't be hard! Presumably at worst all I need to do is to
kill a job and delete a file. But which job and which file? I tried
killing a job last time, and although it did the trick, it also
required a reboot. And I hate rebooting Linux -- it seems so defeatist.
