A few people said that they renamed their .kde and let KDE rebuild it before 
they saw the speed increase. They had to redo their settings but it was worth 
it. I would assume that you also used the prelinked QT rpms as well?
My Konqueror loads in less than 2 seconds as well as kmail and knode.
