You _choose_ to use electronic banking, and windows use or the use of some proprietary software like Provendk is a consequence of that. No one holds a gun to your head, and you do not _need_ to do electronic banking at all. Countless thousands survived somehow even before it was invented.-) So it all comes down to a question of choices, which is fine. But Ron is correct in one thing: Windows sucks at verifying linux CDs and can and will give you false or misleading information, because it was never programmed for the task.
