I am happy to report that while the default Linux Kernel is totally
hosed with the use of Adaptec aic7xxx SCSI Controllers, using the
Linux-2.2 kernel appears to boot fine.

Time will tell as to what is yet working or not. However, whatever is
Wrong with the 2.4 Kernel and Adaptec controllers, I wish that someone
would clue me in. As I would like to build a Workable 2.4 Kernel for
use with LM 8.0.

BTW, can we get this bug report into the Offing's of the LM 8.1 Build
before distribution?
