I am not a fan of Microsoft (who you, Mike, we would have never guessed), but many people use Outlook* because they need to communicate with an Exchange server (they gots no choice, they ain't evil, just trapped), to my knowledge there are no Linux mail clients for Exchange (which we know is an eivl product that spreads virii, supports Microsoft's monopoly and promotes tooth decay, but I digress).
