Sure do (have experience, that is). I was on the support desk of a national ISP for a while, and most customers with modem issues (as opposed to s/w, system stuff and the like) had internal PCI modems. PCI tend not to have their own data pump chip, no telephone out port, and (obviously) rely on the computer;s power supply -- john in syd
