Hey all I have an almost unmodified version of Mandrake 7.2. Only thing upgraded, is the kernel (2.4.6). Well... I have tried with the src-RPM (both RPM-version 5 and 15) of samba 2.2.1a and got it to compile under Mandrake 7.2. But the result is very unsatisfying... This causes that people often can't save their word-documents, Access Databases and so on... Even though the smbd daemon process spawns a new client process immedietly after. I can even provoke the error with some homebanking applications. Anyone experiencing the same? What about those who used the binary version, compiled by another one in this group?
