You have to ask this question in the expert section because you're "no longer subscribed" to the newbie list???...pretty lame excuse considering the guidelines for this list specifically ask to not post install related questions. if you can't figure out how to re-subscribe to a mailing list good luck setting up your network...
Not that I mind answering questions (where I can) it's just kind of annoying when I'm struggling with a serious networking/firewall problem and I get very few responses to my post while I see a rampant discussion as to how popular Linux is as a desktop platform underway and people conducting surveys as to which video card they should use?!?!!!!.... go to a consumer website - wired, cnet, etc. etc. If you had bothered to look at MandrakeUser.org you would have noticed that they have a large number of tutorials related to install/config issues on the MDK platform. Specifically they have one you might be interested in entitled: "Setup Of A Linux / Windows9x Micro-LAN" http://www.mandrakeuser.org/docs/connect/cmlan.html > I would ask this in the Newbie list.. but I no longer subscribe to it. > > I've installed Mandrake 8.1 on a P100, with 32MB of RAM, and plan on > using it for a router/gateway to the internet.
