Subject: RE: [expert] TV Card ReccomendationsHi There,
I've got a Dynalink TView TV capture card with FM. It uses the BT878 Brooktree chipset. It works under Linux but hasn't got cartified hardware status yet. But it's still good :-). Good Luck.

Hash: SHA1Im looking for a good quality pci TV card. The prime purpose for it will be
to use to plug in my amiga system, and consoles so that i dont need a
seperate TV. Could someone reccomend a good one (and i dont have windows so
it must work under linux) that gives full frame rates, and preferably does
everything in hardware. Ive seen one of those USB WinTV setups and it was
pretty damn crap (~6 frames a second or so). Ive never had a TV card before
so i have no idea what im looking for, and anything that is fairly cheap
right now would be great. Thanks Guys, im sure one of you can tell me what im after.

Go to
Tigerdirect's web site.
They
have a Nice Brooktree card (which Linux supports) for $9.00.
Yes
$9.00
It
even comes with a video camera (supported), remote control & receiver (not
supported in Linux AFAIK), FM tuner, Microphone with windscreen,
etc.
I
believe it's called either VideoE-Mail or WinTV...
The
company that makes it is out of business, which is why it's so cheap, but since
it works with generic drivers in Windows and Linux, it makes no
difference.
