Ok, please don't throw stones because I know about the security problems...
I do need the extensions however... I been able to use the Mandrake 8.1 Source RPM's to build a new Apache server. I built it directly from the SPEC files and sources included in the SRC.RPM... (RPM is wonderful in this regard!) I used RPM to unpack the sources and perform a prep, without a build. I then applied the patch buried in the mod_frontpage-xxx binaries (or source) to the Apache source tree directly to the Mandrake/RPM patched (but not complied) sources. I get a good compilation and creation of a "Mandrake" Apache w/FrontPage server via RPM again.. I have even been able to modify the SPECS to automatically apply the MOD_Frontpage patches and create both .SRC.RPM and .i686.RPM files specific to Mandrake 8.1. The problem is that in spite of everything compiling perfectly, it segfaults complaining about the SUEXEC program it uses. Has ANYONE gotten it to work yet... Using the Mandrake source trees?
