The error message I get when selecting LPRng in printerdrake as root is (appears in
the console): "cannot start lp device 'dev/lp0 - Permission denied"

The security level on my system is low.

Yes, I downloaded the ISOs for the three CDs. Everything else installed correctly and
works fine.

|Hi,
|Try it (only a suggestion):
|As root, run printerdrake.
|Delete your printer if it's present.
|Reboot.
|As root, run printerdrake.
|Change printerdrake to expert mode.
|Change the print system to LPRng.
|Add your printer.
|Print the test page. If no page is printed, tell us the exact error
|message.
|By the way, what security level has your LM?
|Did you downloaded your copy of LM8.1?
|Oscar.
