Tell us:
ls -l /dev/lp* (and symlinks)
ls -l /usr/bin/lp* (and symlinks)
ls -l /etc/printcap
cat /etc/printcap
cat /var/log/lpr/errors, info, warnings
ls > /dev/lp0 (work?)
try lpr -P(printer)  (work?)
ps -ax | grep lpd
lpc status
Did you run lilo after adding devfs=nomount to lilo.conf?
�exist the user lp, is in the lp group? is the account enabled?
Maybe somebody in the list can help you if you tell us this info.
