I DO work with the "Exports", "FSTAB", "HOSTS" and etc, but was thinking of those that are new to Linux. If Linux is ever going to make it as a viable desktop O/S for the masses it's going to have to have GUI tools. To a "purist", I suppose a GUI is silly but to the majority of the people they're not. I came up through the Commodore 64 to XT to 286 & etc but was always looking for an easier way to do things. For better or worse, most people in this world are visual orientated.. That's major reason for M$'s success...
