Hopefully, this not come off as pedantic advise but it may be time to reiterate this point. Over the many months, you will see instructions coming off this list that clearly state "do not do a kernel upgrade using Mandrake's update feature. It was good advise, and it continues to be good advice. One more time, all together now, "do not upgrade your kernel with Mandrake's Update Utility". It will not work..... J.
