Hi,

I was reading in man xfs:

  -port tcp_port
Specifies the TCP port number on which the server
will listen for connections. The default port
               number is 7100.

I was just wondering why Mandrake 8.x runs the X Font Server on port -1, and
not the default port 7100? I mean, port -1 sounds like a mythical port to me
(isn't this a bit silly?) and is preventing my thin-client X-Terms from
access my remote font server because my thin-client simply cannot see
tcp/tux350:-1!

I know how to fix this (by editing /etc/init.d/xfs) so I only want to know
why Mandrake has set it up this way.

Thanks,
pesarif
