Do you have a DNS entry and/or /etc/hosts entry for these machines?  

Also you might check to make sure the "ident" service is running. i have 
seen postfix refuse to deliver mail if it was not running correctly.

Also check your firewall rules and make sure that things can connect to 
port 25. (hosts.allow and hosts.deny can also effect that.)
