It's on the disks, either 1 or 2 in Mandrake/RPMS.

If you're downloading the kernel, you might as well get the updated ones
(2.4.8-34.1).

No, it will work, but you will need to enable a few services. I use the
stock Linus kernel on my testing machines, but the Mandrake version on
my stable workstation.
