The problem isn't at the locales, the problem is ....well, i don't know where the problem is exactly, but i know the solution...."It works for me" (tm)
Edit your /etc/sysconfig/i18n. Add the .ISO-8859-15 suffix to all entries. Logout, login, if you have the iso-8859-15 selected in kde and if your font has the (euro) your should be able to type and display it. My /etc/sysconfig/i18n looks like this: SYSFONT=lat0-sun16 LC_MONETARY=pt_PT.ISO-8859-15 #LC_CTYPE=en_IE.ISO-8859-15 LC_NUMERIC=pt_PT.ISO-8859-15 LC_MESSAGES=en_IE.ISO-8859-15 LANG=en_IE.ISO-8859-15 LC_TIME=pt_PT.ISO-8859-15 LC_COLLATE=pt_PT.ISO-8859-15 SYSFONTACM=iso15 ATTENTION: do NOT use the @euro suffix, it DOESN'T work!!! Could someone at Mandrake check this? If i use the @euro suffix i can see but i can't type the , but if i use the .ISO-8859-15 suffix kde works like it should.
