I don't think that's it either. Even when I'm ssh'ing from an internal
box with 'ALL: ALL' in its /etc/hosts.allow. I think I might be onto
something here with pam_xauth.so, but we'll see. The boxes that aren't
doing it are machines that have a high level of security on them so do
you know where that might have any connection with pam_xauth?
