Lots of things are broken with devfs disabled, seems there are few if any links completed in /dev and I for one don't want to take time to restore them all. CD/RW works OK with devfs, ZIP doesn't, I disable devfs ZIP works, modem and CDRW don't, BAH. The results also vary from machine to machine AND from install to install on the same machine..... HEY, Mandrake, give us an easy to find choice as to whether or not we want dev fs OR at least some way to kill it and restore the links in /dev.... -- Ken Thompson, North West Antique Autos Payette, Idaho Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.nwaa.com Sales and brokering of antique autos and parts.
