I recently installed Mandrake Linux 8.1 and my rcp command do not want to
work any more (worked fine with v. 7.?) between Linux boxes, while works
fine with Solaris boxes. The error message is xhost: unable to open display
"". The same message appears when I'm running rsh command, but thanks god
command executes properly. So my question is how to fix the problem and get
rid of this error message. Could you explain why these commands do need
connection to the X system at all? The best of Linux is his in dependability
from X, not his similarity to Windows?

Can any one help? Thank you

Goshko
