IDE-to-SCSI emulation is not that big a deal. Mandrake sets it up automagically. I've never had a problem. The big benefit to SCSI is that doing other work on the system doesn't slow it down and adversely affect the burn process. When I burn using my IDE drive, I don't really do anything else until the task is completed; my buddy with a SCSI burner continues to do whatever he is doing. -- Hoyt http://www.maximumhoyt.com
