Yup, I can see where that would be a problem. However, this is a Dual NIC (3com to boot!) configuration. No modems, serial ports.....And too boot, it worked GREAT on 7.2, now 20 minutes before rebooting the 8.1 version.
Btw, there were no IRQ settings in 7.2, therefore I would not expect there to be any in 8.1. I have replaced the SOHO100 controller, and have gotten operational. I am disappointed in the inability to update/install/upgrade an existing environment to a new version of the OS. We can do better.
