One way that will do the trick is to log into X (KDE) and click on control center (will have to give the root password). Then click on Security --> Security Level and select "Welcome to Crackers". (I've noticed that 'Welcome to Crackers' selection will always show up in the drop down even if you have it on a higher setting.) That I *think* should do it.
