hi Randy Mick needs to make sure he's sending through an SMTP server which has reverse DNS set up correctly (as Pierre pointed out, most well-run mail servers will reject requests that don't reverse properly, as this is very often a pointer to the contents being spam). Looks to me like he's running an SMTP server on his machine and his outgoing mail is going out through that, rather than his ISP's SMTP server. Either that or his ISP has a screwed-up relaying mechanism. The mail is being sent from dialup26-1.net-star.net, rather than sw.sowest.net. It's most likely that he has that set somewhere in his mailer settings. The NNTP suggestion is a red herring. Sounds like somebody on the tech support line at his ISP can't be bothered to investigate properly, so has just suggested the first thing that came to mind to get rid of him.
