The PPC port of Mandrake is still relatively new, and PPC development for free
software in general does not get nearly as much support as x86 development. Of
course Apple hardware will work with OSX, since Apple control both hardware and
software. Apple hardware is often quite proprietary and is therefore difficult
to get going in non Apple OSs. I would expect this factor to be multiplied in a
notebook system.
