I have an HP 660C inkjet printer attached to my Linux box on the parallel printer port. I want to assign it an internal network address so that the Windows clients can access it without Samba. MCC gave a default port of 9100 which didn't work. I tried other print services as shown in /etc/services with no success. The printer works fine as a local printer but not as a network printer.
