Ok, this is an odd one. How do you know if mod_perl is actually active in
your Apache server? Or better yet, how to be sure that it *is*? I've got
the various mod_perl .rpm files loaded in my system, but when I use the
test-cgi and printenv scripts on my server, I see no mention of mod_perl
being there.
>From test-cgi:
SERVER_SOFTWARE = Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/1.3.22 (Mandrake
Linux/1.1mdk) FrontPage/5.0.2.2623 mod_ssl/2.8.5 OpenSSL/0.9.6b
mod_gzip/1.3.19.1a PHP/4.0.6
>From printenv:
SERVER_SOFTWARE="Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/1.3.22 (Mandrake
Linux/1.1mdk) FrontPage/5.0.2.2623 mod_ssl/2.8.5 OpenSSL/0.9.6b
mod_gzip/1.3.19.1a PHP/4.0.6"
(Which pretty much says the same thing. :) I don't see any mod_perl
mentioned in there. When I do a "ps -ef", I do see httpd-perl processes
running - are *those* the result of mod_perl being installed?
What am I missing here?
