Well, I don't plan on running it continually, just occasionally. I'm not really a linux guru, and it is much easier to open xwindows to configure things, and transfer files. In fact, I can't even seem to get the mouse to work under console.. so to make things more efficient, I wish to open Xwindows and take care of everything there, then close Xwindows when I am done. I simply don't have enough time to learn every console command, and Xwindows makes things easier to use and configure. james
