Well, I've got another one that's driving me batty. I've installed Mailman
on my system, and it works fine as far as actually handling the mailing list
traffic goes. However, trying to get to the various Mailman web pages
doesn't work. When I put in http://{the host}/mailmain/listinfo, all I get
is a Forbidden page in the web browser, and the error_log file shows:
[Mon Jun 10 00:57:10 2002] [error] [client 192.168.1.101] client denied by
server configuration: /var/lib/mailman/cgi-bin/listinfo
I installed Mailman from a Mandrake RPM, and it added the mailman.conf file
to my /etc/httpd/conf directory (and the appropriate "include" in the
httpd.conf file to point to it). So I'm rather lost as to why the "server
configuration" is not allowing it. When I start the server, I see a message
in the log saying:
[Mon Jun 10 01:04:03 2002] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper:
/usr/sbin/suexec)
So that doesn't seem to be the problem. Any ideas would be appreciated - I'm
sure it's something simple that I'm overlooking, but I'm stuck.
