And I assume that you also ran mkinitrd with the appropriate parameters.
If not, then you are either using the old initrd, or you are not using
one at all.  Either could be acceptable, depending on your
hardware....but...

If you compiled in reiserfs to the kernel, the current initrd is trying
to modprobe the correct module in.  It should not be a fatal error, but
in your case, something else is happening.  Make a new initrd and make
your lilo point to it.

Hmmm, you didn't by any chance install a kernel with the same name and
it's trying to use the old modules with the new kernel...
