But after the "fast config change" will KDE play nice with xinerama?
For example:
-- will the panel stretch across (yuck!) both monitors
(assuming side-by-side configuration)?
-- Will horizontally maximised windows stop maximising when
they hit the edges of the phyiscal monitor (good)
or when they stretch across the whole logical desktop (bad)?
-- Will new windows pop up in the middle of a monitor or in the
middle of the logical desktop so that they are splayed across the two
monitors in an ugly way?
If you'd like to do the "fast config change" and test these questions
I'd very much value your results. Also (if you try it) let me know
what version of KDE and Mdk you are running. Thanks.
