Ric,

I jumped on the bandwagon early so I've got a Palm but as far as the
Zaurus is concerned. I played with them at Linux-World and yes they are
fast and very full featured. Question is ... What features do you
need? Most PDA's other than the Palm only sync with windows. (Not sure
on the Zaurus. So first do you want to have to boot to windows to sync
your PDA? Palm on the other hand is syncable with Linux exactly the
same as with Windows. It also syncs with Evolution so if you use Evo
you have full sync capability for more than just a backup. Finally if
all you are doing is using it as a data store (Names numbers todo's
memo's etc.) Why not stick with a basic Palm? You don't sound like you
need the games. Wireless Web (although Palm has this) or any of the
other features. Oh and when I speak of Palm, Handsprings falls into
this category as well.... Since the OS is the same. At Fry's here in
Cali you can pick up a Handsprings that's been re-built by the factory
for slightly more than half the price of a new one, and still has full
factory warranty.
