Check that your cpu (and power supply and system) fan is working OK and full of dirt or seized. I get these at the start of every summer here in OZ - lets me know its time to pull the top off and clean out the gunk!
Could also be hardware errors, but in a number of cases here, its been dust related, particularly when loading the cpu up (setiathome is good for a 6C temp rise on my athlon, pushing it over the top!).
