guys,
I have
a color parallel quickcam, and I plugged it in.. , loaded gqcam on my mandrake
9.0 box, (urpmi gqcam) and it installed fine.
when I
try to run it, I get "/dev/video no such file or directory"
How do I get gqcam to see my
camera??
I was going to start playing with mknod
but I am not sure thats a good idea with
devfs...
whats the word on that??
should I manually create /dev/video, /dev/video0 etc with
mknod?
I can load the required drivers
modprobe videodev and modprobe
c-qcam
just not sure about the /dev
stuff...
Any
ideas anyone???
