Absolutely correct.Below is a result of /usr/sbin/lsof|grep dev (I have /dev/scd0 mounted on /mnt/burner). There is no line about /dev/scd0 there.
If you have a file open on the cdrom then try: /usr/sbin/lsof -V /mnt/cdrom2
The -V option is not neccesary. I was searching for /dev/scd0, and I should have been looking for /mnt/burner.
