That was wath I did with 3 different cameras (Olympus, Nikon, Fuji) and all of them run (this was done by hand; if it run you can change some files to automatice):
A) have loaded the next modules: usb, usb-core, usb-storage, ide-scsi B) Create a directory to mount the camera: mkdir -m 777 /mnt/camera C) Plug-in the camera via USB, put it in download position. D) mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/camera (you can also mount with "auto" file sistem.
