http://www.elby.ch/english/products/clone_cd/writers/l.html#liteon Plus the other brands as well. There are two hardware write modes that you need to be concerned with. What you are looking for is a burner with RAW-DA0 96 write and RAW + 96 read mode capability with a four sheep rating. There are more and more burners out there capable of this, but Liteon is a brand that really keeps their firmware up to date. My second suggestion is that it is possible to get a DVD capable burner that also has RAW-DAO 96 mode and four sheeps. This helps you combine several functions into a half height drive bay with very little extra expense. Check out the following http://www.elby.ch/english/products/clone_cd/writers/t.html#toshiba I got a Toshiba SD-1202 because it had the required read/write modes, plus a four sheep rating, PLUS it was a Combo drive and will read DVD's. It also does perfect 1 to 1 copies of games, if you have the right software at the wheel. RAW-DAO 96 mode is important because it allows the burner to write exactly what it saw on the original, bit for bit. That's called a bit for bit CD copy and it's damn hard to achieve, even under the best of circumstances if copy protection is involved. But it can and is done, specially here. RAW + 96 is a read mode that allows a burner to deal with CD subchannel data, plus a whole bunch of other stuff. "Weak sectors" are a bitch. Believe me.
