Finally after a week (for some strange reason), MDL PPC booted off the CD. The problem I have now is that as I hit the [ENTER] key, the bootloader displays:
"cd:2,\\vmlinux: Unknown or corrupt filesystem" I understand the error message, but it doesn't make any sense to me. First of all, when installing linux you will eventually have to create filesystems (partitions) usually of the ext2 type. I am re-formatting the entire drive anyway so MDL should be concerned. Unless the error message is pointing towards the actually "vmlinux" folder on the CD, maybe that got screwed up during the ftp download or the conversion from an iso image to a bootable CD. I have no idea.
